Biography
Kirill Tarasov is a native of Kemerovo. He was born in January 1999 into a large, close-knit family; he has an older brother and a younger sister. His mother, who looked after the home and raised the children, instilled Christian values in them. His father has worked for many years as a driver in a motor convoy.
From childhood, Kirill loved reading. He was a good student, particularly enjoying history. He was fond of cycling. After school, he trained as an auto mechanic — graduating from technical college with honors. During his student years, Kirill learned to make custom furniture and worked in this field right up to his arrest.
Kirill was familiar with the Bible from childhood. Later, a deeper study of this book convinced the young man of its historical and scientific accuracy. He also saw that Bible principles help build good relationships in the family and with others. In 2015, Kirill was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Three years later, he married Anastasiya. The couple have similar views on life and family values. They enjoy walking, listening to music, and spending time with friends. In his free time, Kirill likes to read books, play soccer and volleyball, and help his father in the garden.
In May 2026, Kirill faced criminal prosecution for his faith. A search of his home was conducted, after which he ended up in a pretrial detention center. These events have affected Anastasiya, as well as Kirill's mother. His relatives are worried about what has happened and are concerned for the believer, who has suffered from asthma since childhood.
