Biography

Liliya Dolinina, a widow from the village of Dormidontovka, was subjected to a search and interrogation for her religious beliefs. A criminal case was initiated against this elderly woman, who is suspected of extremism merely because of her faith.

Liliya was born in 1946 in the city of Obluchie, Jewish Autonomous Region. Her parents and two brothers are no longer alive. In childhood and throughout her youth, Liliya skied professionally. She was part of a sports club, participated in competitions, and was preparing to receive the title Master of Sports, but her wedding changed her plans.

Liliya finished a secretarial course. For several years before retiring, she worked at a factory as a crane operator. Now the believer is on a well-deserved rest. She has two sons. Since the death of her second husband, she has lived alone.

Although none of her close relatives share her views, Liliya loves to read the Bible and has been living by its standards since 2000. She is particularly found of the fulfilled prophecies in this book. Reflecting on the Holy Scriptures helps the believer stay positive despite the criminal prosecution.

Case History

In the village of Dormidontovka in February 2023, law enforcement officers conducted searches in the homes of believers. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against elderly believer Liliya Dolinina on suspicion of involvement in the activities of an extremist organization and participation in it. In March 2024, the case went to the district court.
