Actions of Law Enforcement Officers

In St. Petersburg, police and investigators disrupted a worship service of Jehovah's Witnesses

St. Petersburg

On October 11, 2016, at least 25 law enforcement officers disrupted a worship service of one of the Jehovah's Witnesses communities in St. Petersburg. The Kingdom Hall on Luzhskaya Street was searched until the ceiling was opened. Many of the men were taken to police stations and the Investigative Committee. Bibles, electronic tablets, and telephones were seized from believers without proper registration. Minors were interrogated. The believers intend to appeal against the actions of law enforcement officers.
