Case of Muravyov in Saint Petersburg

Case History

In April 2024, searches were carried out in St. Petersburg in Igor Muravyov’s apartment. Four months earlier, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against Igor Muravyov under the article on participation in the activities of an extremist organization for holding talks on biblical topics. Immediately after the search, Igor was detained and placed in custody. In August 2024, the believer was charged under Articles 282.2 (1.1) and 282.2 (2) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. In September, the case went to court and soon after was returned to the prosecutor.

    Igor's state of health is bad. He is not given any medication and is not provided with the dietary food he needs. The application to the medical unit for assistance has not yet been answered.
